Purpose of the role
To analyse the technical specifications to identify
the business requirements.
To prepare and execute test cases.
Participate in the validation of functional and non-
functional requirements in an Agile development
environment
Qualifications
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National
Certificate (Vocational)
A relevant tertiary qualification with majors in IT
and / or finance (i.e. BComm Information
Systems) would be ideal
Recognised testing qualification (i.e. ISTQB
Certified Tester, Foundation Level (CTFL) offered
by the International Software Testing Qualification
Board)
Experience
2 – 3 years proven formal experience in QA testing
within an Agile environment
Knowledge and skills
Detailed knowledge of:
The full IT project lifecycle (SDLC)
Financial/Banking Systems
Formal testing practices
Software and hardware testing
Thorough knowledge of Agile development
methodology
