Requirements:
• A recognised B-degree/National Diploma or
equivalent qualification in Commerce;
• A minimum of 3 years management experience in
Financial Management environment;
• A valid code EB driver's license.

• Experience in creditors control.
Key performance areas:
• Administer creditor accounts;
• Maintain payment processes;
• Maintain salary deduction and payment processes;
• Regulatory, policy governance framework and
tactical advice;
• Coordinate, evaluate and prepare inputs to
oversight bodies, committees and forums;
• Operational management inclusive of:
o Human Resource Management;
o Financial Resource Management;
o Service Delivery Management;
o Information Management;
o Compliance Management;
o Project Management;
o Performance Management.
Competencies:
• Knowledge of the following:
o Financial legislation (example: public finance
management act 1 of 1999 as amended by Act 29
of 1999);
o GRAP (General Recognised Accounting Practices)
and ability to interpret and apply applicable
policies, legislation, guidelines, standards,
procedures and best practices;
• Advanced computer literacy specifically in Excel;
• Good communication (written and verbal) skills in
at least two of the official languages of the
Western Cape;
• People management, financial management
(Budget, revenue, receivables and reporting) skills;
• Excellent report writing, formulation, problem
solving and analytical skills in respect of financial
accounting;
• Presentation and reporting skills.
