To provide an effective and efficient accounting
system for revenue and receivables.
Minimum Requirements...
Requirements:
• An appropriate recognized Degree/National
Diploma (or equivalent qualification) in Commerce;
• A minimum of 3 years management experience in
a financial accounting environment;
• A valid drivers' license (Code EB).

Recommendation:
• Experience in Debt Management.
Key performance areas:
• Accounting and reporting on revenue and
receivable;
• Compilation of inputs for financial statements;
• Access and interpret of systems financial report;
• Regulatory, policy governance framework and
tactical advice;
• Coordinate, evaluate and prepare inputs too
oversight bodies, committees and forums;
• Operational Management inclusive of the
following:
o Human Resource Management;
o Financial Resource Management;
o Service Delivery Management;
o Information Management;
o Compliance Management;
o Project Management;
o Performance Management.
Competencies:
• Knowledge of the following:
o Financial legislation (example: Public Finance
Management act of 1999);
o GRAP (General Recognised Accounting Practices)
and ability to interpret and apply applicable
policies, legislation, guidelines, standards,
procedures and best practices;
o Project Management principles and application;
o People Management, Financial Management;
• Good communication (written and verbal) skills in
at least two of the official languages of the
Western Cape;
• Advanced computer literacy specifically in Excel;
• Report writing, formulation and analytical skills in
respect of financial accounting;
• Presentation and reporting skills.
