·        Registered Nurse with relevant experience in managing a CSSD department
·        Current registration with SANC

Job Specification
Are you seeking a senior role in theatre and have the management experience? We seek for a registered nurse with strong leadership skills to manage the CSSD department for highly reputable private facility in Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities:
·        Ensure correct packing and sterilization of instrument sets and linen packs for theatre and doctors’ rooms in accordance with Company infection control standards by CSSD staff
·        Manage CSSD so that it meets the requirements to comply with relevant legislation and hospital policies and procedures
·        Manage CSSD staff to ensure adequate and cost effective staffing promoting co-operative working relationships and performance management
·        Manage the department’s budget, including control and maintenance of equipment and stock
·        Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the Department to ensure adherence to infection control and SHEQ policies and procedures.
·        Good communication/interpersonal skills
·        Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and manage the Unit workload
·        Effectively market the Unit to the Doctors to promote satisfactory working relationships
·        Gather relevant information to assist Theatre Manager in Capital Expenditure planning
·        Excellent training & development opportunities
