Introduction
TB/HIV Care Association in partnership with the Department of Correctional Services:
A Data Trainer is required to work within the Western and Eastern regions.
A committed and energetic individual with a clear criminal record is required to join our programme.
The working environment and conditions of employment are in line with those of a correctional services facility.
Minimum Requirements
Degree/Diploma in health, public health, social science or other relevant field 3-4 years ‘experience in HIV/TB data management, including data verification/quality assurance Experience in managing of staff, training and facilitation skills Sound knowledge of TB/HIV Care & treatment programmes Computer Certification, including Excel, Powerpoint & database software
Extensive knowledge of District Health Information systems (DHIS)/Tier.net
Valid driver’s license
No criminal record Knowledge, skills and Competencies:
Experience in administration
Proficiency in English, Afrikaans or Xhosa languages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and to work well with a diverse team
Job Specification
Support in addressing challenges from data collection to report writing
Ensure efficient & effective training to data capturers and programme managers
Develop effective ways to table data, use visual icons to best report data
Have deep understanding of data and systems
Educate and develop staff on data interpretation and presentation
Assist in developing systems to help in storing, management & reporting data Plan, prepare and present data management training
Conduct routine tracking, quality assurance, dissemination, analysis of HIV/TB-related data to maintain data integrity
Provide reports on all data related training
Keep record of training presented and compile training statistics
Mentor/Coach data management teams to ensure effective and accurate
Identify, implement and maintain a highly trained and functional Data Team
Travel to various Correctional Services Centres
Report to the Operational Manager at the Correctional Centre at which they will be based
